Glen Killane is Deputy Director of Sport at Eurovision Sport in Geneva, where he is responsible for all sports rights acquisitions. Eurovision Sport acquires TV and Radio sports rights on behalf of Public Service media organisations from over 50 countries in Europe the Middle East and Africa. The portfolio of events they have includes the FIFA World Cup 2022, The 2021 UEFA Women’s European Championships, The Tour De France, Vuelta Espana and the UCI World Cylcling Championships, World Athletics Championships, European Athletics, International Biathlon Union rights, Austrian Skiing and Swiss Skiing events, FINA World Championships and the European Championships Munich 2022 along with this year’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Glen ran Ireland’s largest television company, RTE Television from 2010 until 2016 and was also managing Director of eircom’s OTT pay Sports Channels and IPTV platform. He is a former Football Editor for ITV Sport in London and was Group Head of Sport for RTE from 2004 until 2010.
